The School Day

Our day officially begins at 8:30 and ends at 3:15, with our wrap around provision extending our day from 07:45 – 18:00 hours to allow flexibility for working parents. Whilst we offer full days, we also offer flexible hours, allowing Nursery girls to gradually build up to the full days in time for Reception.

The school day is 08.30 – 15.15.

The school day begins at 08.30 when girls are greeted, from at turning circle, by their teacher before going to Little St Mary’s all together.

During a day, girls enjoy a variety of lessons from ballet and French taught by specialist teachers, to maths, phonics, and art to name a few. Girls also spend a whole afternoon a week at Forest School, in our dedicated Forest School setting with qualified teachers.

At break, girls enjoy a healthy snack before heading out into their own play area to let off steam. Often joined by older girls, friendships build quickly between year groups.

Lunch is at 12.00, in Little St Mary’s, and then outside to play once more.

As girls come to the end of their time in Reception, and to prepare for progressing through primary school and into Paddington House, learning becomes more structured. Girls spend more time in the playground with students in Years 1-6, and go to the main school Dining Room to eat their lunch.
