The School Day

When you enter Cedar House, our purpose built Sixth Form Centre, the feeling is that of focus and hard work perfectly coupled with light and laughter. Our girls all share the common objective of working hard and excelling in their chosen subjects to allow them to follow their dreams. The importance of rest, and fun, however, is not underestimated!

As our Sixth Form is an extension of school, you are expected to be on-site between 8.30 am and 3.45pm, with some flexibility to allow you to leave to head into Gerrards Cross during the school day, should you choose to. Many of our Sixth Formers arrive early to enjoy their breakfast in our common room with a hot beverage from our state-of-the art coffee machine that rivals most cafes. You are free to eat lunch in the dining room or bring your hot meal back to Cedar House to enjoy.

There are 8 sessions per week of teaching for each of your A Level subjects and during your non-teaching time you are encouraged to use the opportunity to complete homework, independent study, or extend your learning. Of course, there is a balance to be struck with working hard academically as well as taking some time relax and de-stress with your peers in our stylishly well-appointed common room.
