Welcome to Little St Mary’s
Welcome to Nursery and Reception – based in our dedicated Little St Mary’s building – where your daughter’s happiness and well-being is at the heart of all that we do! From day one, she will become part of our school community where academic rigor is a given, and where a wide range of opportunities are available to all.
You only have to look through the window, or step inside our purpose-built setting to experience the happiness, engagement and enthusiasm of our girls. Our varied curriculum, in both Nursery and Reception, includes Forest School, French, swimming, music, art and ballet, allowing girls to immerse themselves in an exciting variety of activities – enabling them to explore the world around them, whilst building the skills and confidence that will inspire and engage them to fulfil their potential. This, combined with maths, phonics, literacy and reading provides the perfect start to each student’s education journey.
Our open-door policy encourages parents to be involved in their daughter’s learning. Events including open classrooms, craft mornings, tea parties and parent breakfasts allow our girls to share their excitement about their school and their learning with their parents (and even Grandparents!).
At St Mary’s, we accept girls into our Nursery the term after their 3rd birthday, and our ethos is quite simply that happy girls will succeed!
A Day in the Life of Nursery at St Mary’s
St Mary’s offers girls an education up to the age of 18. The benefits to being part of a 3-18 school for those in our Nursery School and Reception are vast; from having older students to aspire to, friendships with girls from all year groups, access to facilities and specialist teachers and a comforting familiarity at every point in her journey through St Mary’s.
