Wrap Around Care

We understand the daily demands of busy working families, and are here to make things a little easier for you. We are pleased to offer wraparound care for students throughout the school, with after school care in the Prep School being directed whilst in Senior House, girls can complete homework, or read, independently.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club is free of charge for girls to attend if they are not eating Breakfast. Breakfast is available for those who require it at a minimal cost of £1/item.

Nursery and Reception children may be dropped off from 07.30 and are supervised in Paddington House. Girls in our Prep School, Years 1-6, attend Breakfast Club in the Dining Hall where they have a range of activities to start their day.

Senior House students arriving before the start of the school day must sign in at Reception, and then can go to their Form Room or Library, or attend one of our before school Co-Curricular clubs.

After School Care

After School care is available for all students until 18.00 hours. Girls in Senior House can attend Co-Curricular clubs, or go to after school supervised prep in the Library. Booking is not required, but girls should sign a register to confirm they are still in school.

The Hub, housed in Paddington House, provides structured time for prep girls to stay in school for as long as required, up until 18.00 hours. We offer:

  • A homework room for Year 3-6 girls to complete their Homework, with teacher support.
  • Structured and, importantly, fun activities to encourage key skills such as teamwork – including dodge ball, Lego challenges, treasure hunts, arts and crafts to name a few.
  • Set time for girls to wind down after a busy day – this is so important for mental health and well-being.

The Hub is offered until 18:00 hours at no additional charge.

Girls are provided with a light snack and juice. We recommend those staying beyond 16.30 hours bring tea with them.

Bookings to The Hub can be made using this form but we do also take last minute bookings, if required, by contacting the school office.

We appreciate that child care can be a juggle beyond term time. We are proud to have partnered with Camp Beaumont to offer a Holiday Club here at St Mary’s for girls from the age of 3. Running during Easter and Summer, and some half terms, the Holiday Clubs provide safe, fun and engaging childcare for children in a familiar setting. Parents of children at St Mary’s have an exclusive discount of 10% and bookings can be made through their website here
