St Mary’s Celebrates GCSE Success

Students at St Mary’s School, Gerrards Cross, are celebrating their GCSE results, marking the culmination of two years of hard work, determination and commitment.

This year, 45% of all grades were awarded at Grades 9–7, with 26% at Grades 9–8 and 9% achieving the highest possible Grade 9. Overall, 70% of grades were awarded at Grades 9–6.

There were also impressive individual performances across the year group. Two thirds of students achieved at least one Grade 9, while more than a quarter of students achieved exclusively Grades 6–9 across all of their subjects.

While the headline figures provide an important snapshot of the year group’s success, St Mary’s is particularly proud of the individual progress and achievements behind every grade. Each student has followed her own journey through GCSEs, overcoming different challenges and working towards her own ambitions.

The results reflect not only academic achievement, but also the resilience, determination and self-belief students have developed throughout their time at St Mary’s.

The school also paid tribute to the teachers who have supported the students throughout their education, recognising the time, care and belief they have invested in helping every girl fulfil her potential.

The results mark an exciting milestone for the students as they look ahead to the next stage of their education, with many continuing their journey into Sixth Form at St Mary’s.
