LAMDA Drama Festival
Congratulations to all our St. Mary’s girls who took part in the LAMDA Drama Festival Competition on 25th November gaining lots of medals! It was a lovely entertaining evening with solo performances from Year 1 to Year 11 in Acting, Verse and Prose, Musical Theatre, Speech and Devised Performance.
The Panel of Industry Professional Judges, Mr Harry Ashley, Mr Ewan Hawkins and their Assistant Miss Esme Moignard were blown away by the talented students and their confidence. Everyone did so well performing their well-rehearsed pieces from Shakespeare to Roethke, with old favourites like Alice in Wonderland in there too. We also had a glimpse of the Westend with Musical Theatre pieces from Six, Amelie, Wonderland and The Little Mermaid and two lovely Devised performance pieces written by Isabel, Year 9.
