Milano South Regional Gymnastics Competition Held at St Mary’s

On Saturday 6th December, St Mary’s proudly hosted teams from U11, U13, U16 and U19 for the Milano South Regional Gymnastics Competition, the regional qualifying round for this year’s Milano Championships. Students had been preparing diligently for months to perfect their routines, demonstrating impressive commitment, discipline and passion for the sport.

The competition featured a full programme of events, including individual floor routines, vault, and a group sequence. Each team showcased their hard work with confidence and skill, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

A special thank you goes to our voluntary judges, whose time and expertise ensured the event ran smoothly and professionally.

The stakes were high, as the top two teams in each age category would secure a place at the National Finals in Stoke-on-Trent this coming March. We are delighted to share that our U11 gymnastics team won their category and will be heading to the National Finals on 6th March 2026. Their performances were outstanding across all events, with their group routine being particularly praised for its creativity, impressive balances and excellent synchronisation.
