St Mary’s Announces New Gymnastics Scholarships Following Outstanding National Success
St Mary’s School, Gerrards Cross, is proud to announce the launch of two new Gymnastics Scholarships for Year 3 (entry in September 2026) and Year 7 (entry in September 2027), following an outstanding period of competitive success for its gymnastics programme.
Applications are now open for Year 3 entry in September 2026 and Year 7 entry in September 2027. Year 7 applicants for 2027 and beyond are invited to a Gymnastics Taster Session (open to girls in Years 3-6, ages 7–11) on Friday 27 February, 3.45–4.45pm, while Year 3 applications are now open online.
The School’s gymnasts have enjoyed remarkable achievements across competitions organised by the Independent Schools Association (ISA) and the British Schools Gymnastics Association (BSGA), firmly establishing St Mary’s as an elite environment for developing young gymnastics talent.
Most recently, the U11 team were crowned BSGA Milano Floor & Vault Champions, securing qualification for the National Finals in March. This success builds on an exceptional 2024–25 season, which included multiple ISA National Championship titles across U9 and U11 age groups, individual national champions, regional BSGA victories, and a third-place finish at the BSGA National Finals against schools from across the UK.
The previous 2023–24 season was equally impressive, with ISA National Championships won at U9, U11 and U13 level, alongside individual national titles and group routine victories.
With further BSGA and ISA competitions taking place over the coming weeks, followed by National Finals in March and the ISA Championships in May, the programme continues to go from strength to strength.

Gymnastics Scholarships – September 2026 & 2027 Entry
The new scholarships are available for pupils entering Year 3 (September 2026) and Year 7 (September 2027). Applicants are expected to be active members of external gymnastics clubs, submit a short floor and vault skills video, and provide a reference from their current school or club. Year 7 applicants should already be competing at Club level as a minimum.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Gymnastics Assessment Session during the Summer Term. Scholarships will be awarded subject to successful completion of the School’s entrance examination.
