Prep Cross Country 2025

On Monday 8th December, we held our much-anticipated annual Prep Cross Country. a morning filled with energy, determination, and wonderful support throughout. A huge thank you goes to our PE teachers for the time and care they put into training the girls during lessons and preparing them so well for the event.

We began the morning with our Nursery to Year 2 runners. Their enthusiasm set the tone for the morning, and it was heart-warming to watch them cheer one another on as they tackled the course with confidence. A special thank you to Scarlett and Ramneet in Year 7, who ran alongside the younger pupils, helping them with pacing and offering encouragement every step of the way. Miss Huggett and Mrs Rose also joined the course multiple times, giving the girls an extra boost of motivation.

After break, it was the turn of Years 3 to 6. These students took on a longer route, with our Year 5 and 6 pupils completing an impressive 2km. They approached the challenge with determination and resilience, showing fantastic house spirit as they encouraged and celebrated one another’s efforts. Well done to Miss Bucknall and Mrs Burton for taking part too — their enthusiasm added to the brilliant atmosphere.

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part. The muddy conditions didn’t faze them in the slightest, if anything, they embraced it with even more enthusiasm! The morning ended perfectly with a well-earned hot chocolate enjoyed by all.

A final thank you to Mr Halward for organising and running such a successful and memorable event. It was a wonderful day of sport, support, and school spirit.
