Senior House Autumn Concert Delights a Full Audience

At the end of October, the Senior House Autumn Concert filled Senior Hall with parents, staff, and governors for an evening of outstanding music and talent. The concert showcased soloists from every year group, each performing to an exceptional standard and demonstrating the breadth of musical ability within the school.

The Senior Orchestra and Flute Ensemble entertained the audience with polished performances, while the Year 7/8 Band made an impressive debut with their lively rendition of Here Comes the Sun. Singing remains a real strength at St Mary’s, and the concert shone a spotlight on our talented vocalists, including performances from the Junior Chamber Choir, Senior Choir, and Chamber Choir.

The evening concluded with a vibrant Fiddler on the Roof medley, featuring solos from Senior Choir members, dynamic drumming by Erin in Year 7, and a special appearance from our visiting fiddler.

Rehearsals are now underway for the Carol Service on Thursday 11 December, and new choir members especially from Year 7 are warmly encouraged to join. Parents are also invited to take part in the Parents’ Choir; please see the notice in this newsletter or contact Mrs Phillips for more details.
