St Mary’s Shines at ISA London North U16 Netball Tournament!
On Wednesday 1 October, our Year 10 and Year 11 netball teams travelled to Abbots Hill to represent St Mary’s at the annual ISA London North Regional U16 Netball Competition. Both teams were placed in separate pools and performed exceptionally well in the initial rounds, each securing three wins out of five matches. Their two defeats were closely contested, reflecting the high standard of play throughout.
Progressing to the 5th–8th place playoffs, Year 11 delivered a convincing win against St James, while Year 10 triumphed over King Alfred with equal determination. This led to an exciting final playoff match between our own Year 10 and Year 11 teams. The game was highly competitive and thoroughly enjoyable, with both teams demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and skill. Year 11 emerged victorious with a final score of 13–6.
The tournament was a fantastic experience for all involved, with students making significant progress both individually and as cohesive teams. Special recognition goes to the players who received the most Player of the Match votes across the tournament:
Year 10: Camille and Hannah
Year 11: Eden and Rosie
It was a brilliant day of netball that truly showcased the talent and spirit of our students – they certainly made St Mary’s proud!
