St Mary’s Support Slough Foodbank and 4000 Children in Need
Last month, St Mary’s marked Harvest with two joyful events focused on giving and community support.
The Senior School began the celebrations on Wednesday 15 October with an inspiring assembly led by two student prefects. They shared the important work of Slough Foodbank, highlighting that in 2024 it provided over 12,000 food parcels more than 4,000 of which went to children in need. The Prep School followed on Thursday 16 October with a vibrant Harvest Celebration. The girls sang enthusiastically, performing upbeat songs including a lively rendition of “Harvest Rock ’n’ Roll.” Their performances took place before a colourful display of donated food and toiletries a striking reminder of the generosity within our school community.
All donations were given to Slough Foodbank, which continues to support individuals and families facing food poverty in our local area. A heartfelt thank you to all pupils, parents, and staff for your kindness and contributions.
This years total donation were a whopping 333.4Kg of goods to Slough Foodbank.
