Year 6 Create a Band at Inspire Day
Our Year 6 Inspire Days are designed to showcase life in our Senior School, giving pupils the opportunity to experience a range of subjects through exciting taster sessions while getting to know our Senior School departments. This week, Year 6 pupils had an inspiring session in the Music Department, where they were set an exciting challenge: form a band and perform together.
Led by Mrs Phillips and Mrs Guy, the girls came together with enthusiasm and confidence, rising brilliantly to the occasion. From the very start, it was clear just how much talent was on display, with aspiring musicians embracing the challenge and performing with confidence. The pupils worked together to rehearse and perform Roar, discovering that the powerful song is built using just two chords – G and E. It was wonderful to see how quickly they learned and how proudly they performed. They were joined by our fantastic Music Scholars, who impressed everyone by leading the group and offering encouragement and guidance throughout the session.
The day was filled with inspiring teamwork, growing confidence and fantastic music-making. A truly memorable Inspire Day that celebrated creativity, collaboration and the joy of music.
